10 Excellent Welsh Instagram Accounts
I’m going on holiday to St Dogmaels near Cardigan in Wales in August. I’m also going on a mini break to Anglesey soon. This has been a massive excuse to go on a following bender on Instagram. I wanted to get excited and do research for my trips, so I’ve sniffed out some AWESOME accounts in Wales. Admittedly they nearly all relate to Cardigan or Anglesey! But if you’re planning a holiday, I think this will definitely get you excited. I hope you enjoy my 10 excellent Welsh Instagram Accounts, let me know if you have any more to recommend.
Anglesey
@halemon
I’ve been obsessing over this stunning account for well over a year. It’s a company that makes Anglesey sea salt, but it’s sooooo much more than that. They have a fabulous range of food products ranging from bloody mary ketchup to salted caramel spread, and they have a shop selling lovely ceramics and lots of other gorgeous things.
I associate Halen Mon with good food, good taste, good values and beauty.

@tide.anglesey
I visited this outdoor cafe (it is part of @halenmon) for just half an hour last year. It was raining and it was cold, so not conditions conducive for enjoying my time there! I ordered a small soup in a paper cup with a piece of bread and it was INSANELY good. And everything about the cafe was so well thought out and beautifully designed. It left a deep impression on me and I can’t wait to go back.

@smallislandbigcity
Jessica Lea-Wilson is a designer, writer and marketer, specialising in the food industry. She’s also the daughter of Alison and David who run Halenmon and is involved herself in the business. Her account feels like a beautiful scrapbook of Anglesey photos and cooking experiments.

Abersoch
@twoislandsicecream
Anyone who knows me will know I’m obsessed with ice-cream. So it’s not a surprise that this account leaped off the page for me. The fabulous photos on this account speak for themselves.

Cardigan
@fforest
Fforest is accommodation in the Welsh countryside, but so much more. ‘Picture a hip hybrid of Welsh farm and Japanese forest retreat, where you can get up close and personal with nature.’ That’s how the Telegraph described @Fforest. Check the account out yourself to immerse yourself in their wilderness vibes.

@pizzatipi
Pizza in a tipi. What’s not to like? This has been recommended by several people so I’ll definitely be going. And the account makes my mouth water.

@crwst.cymru
Crwst specialise in homemade bread, bakes, coffee and food made with locally sourced produce. I will have to go and try ALL the doughnut flavours!

@theoldvicmoylegrove
The Old Vicarage is a beautifully restored Edwardian house/accommodation in Moylegrove. I’ve spent a long time staring at all their beautiful interior pictures and beach photos. I want to stay here one year!

@bara_menyn
Is a sourdough bakehouse. The photos tell me all I need to know. I will be going there next month!

@thebeachhut_llagrannog
I was instantly drawn to this Instagram account. A rugged beach hut cafe / fish and chip shop serving honest home cooked food. The photos and the account have a warm, inviting vibe.

I’m sure there are thousands of other excellent Welsh Instagram accounts – I’d love to hear about your favourites – do dm me on my Instagram account and tell me!
